(OLNEY/NEWTON) With a high pressure ridge centered over the Ohio River Valley keeping us dry with a clear sky today, an approaching cold front extending from southern Lake Michigan out to Kansas will move through our downstate area by later this evening with a dry sky expected through tonight. Then a high pressure will build into central Illinois by tomorrow morning, keeping us dry with a little cooler air on tap tomorrow. However, we’ll quickly warm back up into the 80’s for Sunday and the first part of next week. That’s ahead of our next rain-making system which will likely move through next Tuesday and Wednesday with maybe a dry first weekend of October. Stay tuned for continued weather updates over the weekend and be monitoring a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and details.
