(SPRINGFIELD) Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner’s administration says it needs up to two more months to produce a plan to provide three years’ back pay to union workers. A letter to the Illinois State Labor Relations Board states officials are still trying to determine how much is owed to some 20,000 workers, although the deadline to do so was this past Monday, which involved so-called step increases shut off in July 2015. The letter says transferring money now could jeopardize critical programs to those in need.
(SPRINGFIELD) During this month of October, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency is joining with the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), as well as county and municipal EMA’s (emergency management agencies), to increase awareness of online risks and provide tips on what people can do to prevent problems.
