(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a cold front moves into the Midwest today, our downstate rain chances increase as we move through this afternoon and tonight. While there is a slight chance of some severe conditions, it will be short-lived due to the quickness of the frontal passage. The rain will end way before midnight, after which things will dry out with a partly cloudy sky, plus much cooler air will filter into our region on a strong northwest wind. We’ll then be dry and much cooler until the next weather disturbance brings us another rain chance Saturday night through next Monday with the cooler conditions hanging around through the weekend. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather details.
