The American Red Cross is urging all eligible donors to get out and give blood. Here’s the list of upcoming area blood drives : today at the Blood Donation Center in Effingham from 7:45 to 2:15 : next Monday at the Toledo Christian Church from 2:00 to 6:00 : next Tuesday at the Casey First Christian Church from 12:00 to 6:00 : also next Tuesday at the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Hall from 1:00 to 6:00 : all blood types and platelets are very much needed.
The St. Joseph Stringtown Parish Center will host its annual Soup Supper tomorrow evening with serving from 4:00 to 6:00. It’s a full meal deal for $7 per person with tickets on sale at the door. Also a cake walk and a 50/50 drawing. All sponsored by the Stringtown Community Club.
The Richland County HEA’s Annual Bazaar is today from 9:00 to 2:00 in the Olney City Park Community Building, featuring arts and crafts, baked goods, garden produce, a quilt raffle, and general raffle with over 70 items available. Plus a white elephant table and a Make-It / Take-It project will be demonstrated. It’s coffee and sweet rolls this morning with a fried chicken lunch served at 11:00. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend. The HEA Bazaar today in the Olney City Park.
The Master’s Hands in Olney will be hosting a “Suicide Prevention Class” this afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 with the doors opening at 12:45. Anyone can attend, plus all teenagers are welcome. Refreshments will be served. The Master’s Hands wants everyone to work together to put a stop to the national epidemic.
The Sailor Springs American Legion Post #230 will host the Kenneth Wyatt Memorial Meat Shoot today, beginning at 10:00 this morning. Raffle tickets are $10 each or three tickets for $20 with the drawing at 2:00. The top prize is Tristar Setter S/T Over/Under shotgun with cash prizes as well. Located just off the Clay City – Dieterich blacktop in Sailor Springs.
The Dundas Ruritan’s “biscuit & gravy, pancake & sausage” breakfast is this morning with serving from now until 12 noon, or until sold out. Ttickets on sale at the door at the Ruritan Building in Dundas.
