The Calhoun Community Building will host its fall “drive thru bulk chowder” this coming Saturday evening with serving from 4:00 until 6:00. All are invited down to Calhoun this Saturday evening.
The Olney Public Library will host a “Faith Story Hour” this coming Saturday afternoon at 1:00 for all ages. Miss Richland County Fair Queen Samantha Trout will be there sharing some of her favorite Bible stories. Admission is free for the reading, crafts, and treat bags for the children. All are invited to attend.
The First Assembly of God annual “soup day” is this coming Saturday with serving from 11:00 to 2:00. Either dine-in or carry-out. For pre-orders or if any questions, call the church at 395-8291. All invited.
The Noble Lions Club will host their annual fall breakfast this coming Saturday morning, with serving from 7:00 to 11:30. It’s pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks with $6 adult and $3 for children under the age of 10 available at the door. Carry-outs available. All at the Lions Club Building in Noble.
It’s another Friday night “taco night” coming up this weekend at the Olney VFW with serving from 5:30 until 7:30. Tacos, nachos, taco salads, and more. It’s open to the public. Call in orders for pick up.
The Richland County Elementary School 4th Grade classes will present their Veterans Day program “Proud of Our Veterans” this coming Thursday and Friday, November 8 and 9, in the RCES dining hall, both days at 10:00 in the morning. The classes of teachers Geier, Jenner, and Walker will perform on Thursday. The classes of teachers Black. Gassmann, and Rusk will perform on Friday. A special invitation goes out to all area Veterans, their families, and all others. Everyone welcome one or both days.
