(OLNEY/NEWTON) We’ll have a brief period of quiet weather this morning before another weak weather system brings us more widespread rain this afternoon through tonight with another strong southeasterly wind and another half inch of rain. Then we dry out on Tuesday with a gusty west wind bringing in some cooler air followed by a cold front tomorrow night, which won’t give us any rain, but it brings in another shot of cold air. As a strong Canadian high pressure keeps us dry Wednesday, our coldest weekday will be Thursday, and with an approaching low pressure system, we could have some light snow Thursday night. Then we’re dry, but cold for the upcoming weekend with temperatures possibly running 15 to 20 degrees below normal. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more details.
