The Fall Band Concert at Lincoln Trail College near Robinson is this Sunday afternoon at 4:00 in the Zwermann Arts Theater. The concert will feature the LTC Concert Band and Jazz Band, plus special guests from the community and the Olney Central College Big Band. $5 tickets on sale at the door.
A benefit fundraiser for infant Luke Wyatt Curtright this coming Saturday evening up at the Yale Community Center, beginning at 4:00. Born eight weeks early, Luke is currently at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis. All the proceeds from monetary donations and from the silent auction Saturday will help support the Curtright family with food and travel expenses and with the medical bills as well.
The Olney Public Library will host a “Faith Story Hour” this coming Saturday afternoon at 1:00 for all ages. Miss Richland County Fair Queen Samantha Trout will be there sharing some of her favorite Bible stories. Admission is free for the reading, crafts, and treat bags for the children. All are invited to attend.
The First Assembly of God annual “soup day” is this coming Saturday with serving from 11:00 to 2:00. Either dine-in or carry-out. For pre-orders or if any questions, call the church at 395-8291. All invited.
The Chauncey Community Club will have its fall fundraising breakfast this Saturday with serving from 7:30 to 12:30, all for a free will donation at the door. They’ll have pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks. All proceeds raised from the breakfast will be used for building upkeep and needed repairs.
The Clay City High School Senior Class has a fundraising “rummage sale” this Saturday from 7:00 to 1:00 at the Clay City Community Building. All kinds of stuff for sale. Proceeds help with class activities.
The Noble Lions Club will host their annual fall breakfast this coming Saturday morning, with serving from 7:00 to 11:30. It’s pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks with $6 adult and $3 for children under the age of 10 available at the door. Carry-outs available. All at the Lions Club Building in Noble.
Several local churches are hosting a very special community event coming up tomorrow (Friday) night at the Elm Street Christian Church in Olney, running from 6:00 until 8:30. The “Cross Exposure” will be a concert featuring praise teams from four churches, the First Assembly of God, Olney Christian Fellowship, the Mt. Gilead Church, and the Elm Street Christian Church. Admission is free for the uplifting service.
