(OLNEY/NEWTON) As a high pressure centered over the Great Lakes region slides off to the east, a warm front will lift northward through central Illinois today, giving us plenty of sunshine and warmer air for this Thanksgiving Day 2018. However, enjoy the dry and warm weather while it lasts. A short-wave trough will move across the state tomorrow with mid-to-late afternoon and overnight rain showers, but we will dry out for Saturday and Saturday night. Then a surface low will move in with more rain chances Sunday into Sunday night, all to be followed by much colder air with a twenty-degree difference in high temperatures from Sunday to Monday. The colder air will then hang around for all of the final few days of November. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information.
