(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the high pressure that’s kept us dry with plenty of sunshine for the past couple of days now moves off to the east, an approaching short-wave weather trough will track eastward into the Midwest, spreading clouds into our downstate area, and eventually our next chance of rain by tonight. That rain chance will end overnight with a dry and mild Saturday on tap for tomorrow. We’ll stay dry through tomorrow night until a strong cold front moves through with rain expected by Sunday afternoon, continuing through Sunday night before ending. However, that front will bring a drop in temperatures with high’s only in the 30’s for the first half of next week. Stay tuned to a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather updates.
