(OLNEY/NEWTON) A high pressure ridge will settle over the Upper Midwest by early this evening, giving us plenty of sunshine today through tomorrow. This after the strong low pressure system brought our downstate area an average of two to four inches of rain from last Thursday night through this past Saturday, over a 72 hour period. But the dry weather conditions will not last long with our next storm system moving in with some clouds on a still dry Wednesday, however rain expected by Wednesday night with more on-and-off rain Thursday through Friday morning. Areas along and north of Interstate 70 can expect some light snow. We’ll then dry out by Friday afternoon and cooler air moving in for Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather details.
