(OLNEY/NEWTON) With the high pressure ridge that’s kept us dry with plenty of sunshine over the past few days now moves off over the mid-Atlantic Coast, our weather will start to change today as an approaching upper level trof brings us some clouds today and our next chance of rain by sunrise tomorrow morning. That rain chance then continues through the day on Thursday before ending late that night. We’ll dry out, but with cooler air moving in, for Friday and Saturday, as a weak surface low / clipper system will likely stay to our north. Then yet another fairly weak upper level trof moves through with maybe some light rain or snow Sunday night. A stronger weather system could bring us some precipitation on Christmas Day, possibly rain mixed with snow, although some weather models show only rain chances for next Tuesday. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more information.
