(OLNEY/NEWTON) A weak upper level disturbance will bring us some light precipitation, mostly in the form of rain, this morning, all to be followed by a clearing sky and some afternoon sunshine on this 2018 Christmas Day. However, after a dry overnight with more mild conditions for a dry Wednesday, we’ll see clouds thicken and our next chance of rain move into the Midwest with an approaching storm system on Thursday. With up to an inch of rain expected, there is a slight chance of some thunderstorm activity as well. Any lingering showers will end late Thursday night before we return to sunshine and a still mild sky on Friday, but a colder airmass will settle into the Midwest with temperatures back into the 20’s and 30’s for the final weekend of 2018. Then rain, maybe mixed with some light snow, next Monday, New Year’s Eve. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather details.
